The Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER led by the Commander, Commodore CN ANIAKU has conducted Educational Rhapsodies in Opobo/Nkoro and Rumuolumeni communities in Obio/Akpor LGAs of Rivers State.
The exercise was held on Friday 11 to Tuesday 15 October 2024.
The Navy in a statement said, the essence was to improve civil military relations in line with the vision, mission and strategic directive of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, which includes contributions to the improvement of educational, health, safety and development of people in the riverine and coastal communities.
Many primary schools benefited from the educational rhapsody including:
St Paul’s Primary school 1 and 2,
Abaziebie/Model Primary school
Opobo Primary School and Nigerian Navy Primary School.
A total number of 1,350 pupils benefitted from the Rhapsody and the educational materials distributed included:

123xdozens of drawing books.
30xdozens of Biros.
90xdozens of HP pencils.
30xdozens of erasers.
400xpieces of Mathematical sets.
30xdozens of Sharpener,
30xpackets of white board markers.
Soccer balls, Story books, Novels and many more educational items.
