The South South Zonal qualifiers ahead of the National Sport Festival scheduled for Ilorin the capital of Kwara State will hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Zonal Co-ordinator, Mr Esset Sylvester who made this known after a meeting with stakeholders of the region in Bayelsa State, said the exercise will kick-start from September 1 to Sept. 5 2021.
He said screening will begin from September 2, 2021 as he urged states to submit their entries before July 31, 2021.
Mr Sylvester, stated that football, cricket, beach volleyball, basketball, handball, hockey and volley were the seven sports adopted for the qualifiers.
He, also said that the Rivers State Government has been informed of the exercise in the state and that preparation is in top gear.
