The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) is set to embark on its planned nationwide strike Today, barring any last minute changes. This follows the expiration of the 14-day ultimatum issued to the Government to meet their demands.
The Association had earlier threatened to embark on the strike, if nothing is done to address its demands.
National President of NARD, Dr. Aliyu Sokomba in a chat with Journalists yesterday said, the government failed to address their demands within the 14 day ultimatum, which has prompted the Association to go on with the proposed strike Today.
He had earlier threatened that all of its members managing Covid-19 patients at various treatment centres across the country, will equally partake in the strike.
He furthermore, thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajiamila and other concerned stakeholders for their efforts in trying to resolve the issues.
