The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has summoned controversial singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, to appear at its national headquarters in Abuja by 9 a.m. today.
The summons follows a viral Instagram live video in which the singer allegedly claimed to have had carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old girl in a hotel.
In a letter dated May 28, NAPTIP stated that the singer’s comments, if verified, could constitute a violation of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015. The agency directed Okoye to respond promptly to avoid further legal action.
