The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Monday announced that Nigerian entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been placed on an international watch list after allegedly ignoring multiple summonses over a controversial online confession.
According to the agency, Interpol has been alerted as part of intensified efforts to locate and apprehend the controversial singer, who reportedly admitted online to having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.
Agency sources also revealed that NAPTIP is considering placing a N50 million bounty on Okoye should he remain at large after the current period of his wanted status expires.
“We are collaborating with the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Police, the DSS, and Interpol,” a source familiar with the investigation disclosed.
