NAFDAC Releases List of Withdrawn, Suspended and Cancelled ProductsThe National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has released a list of 101 products whose Certificates of Registration have either been withdrawn, suspended, or cancelled.
In a public notice tagged #NafdacALERTS, the agency stated that the affected products are no longer permitted for manufacture, importation, exportation, distribution, advertisement, sale, or use within Nigeria.
NAFDAC explained that:
A product’s registration is withdrawn when its Market Authorisation Holder voluntarily discontinues the use of its Certificate of Registration.
A product’s registration is suspended when the conditions upon which the license was originally issued are no longer met, pending a determination by the agency.
A product’s registration is cancelled when NAFDAC revokes its Certificate of Registration entirely.
