Onitsha, Anambra State — The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Monday launched an enforcement operation at the Ogbo-Ogu Market, Bridge Head, Onitsha.
Led by the Director of NAFDAC South East Zone, Dr. Martins Iluyomade, the agency’s operatives seized a variety of adulterated, substandard, and expired drugs from several shops.
Addressing journalists during the raid, Iluyomade stated that the operation was part of NAFDAC’s mandate to eliminate fake, banned, and other harmful products from circulation. He emphasized that the agency aims to protect unsuspecting consumers from falling victim to dangerous drugs.
