The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has dismissed a press release circulating on social media that falsely claims the agency has commenced a recruitment exercise.
In a statement, NAFDAC clarified that the purported announcement did not originate from the agency and is entirely false. While noting that it periodically conducts recruitment to engage qualified Nigerians, the agency stressed that no recruitment exercise has been announced at this time.
NAFDAC warned members of the public against engaging with or relying on fraudulent recruitment information, which is often circulated to mislead and extort unsuspecting job seekers.
“For the avoidance of doubt, NAFDAC has not issued any press release or notice announcing a new recruitment exercise,” the agency stated.
It added that all authentic information from NAFDAC is communicated solely through its official website and recognised, verified communication channels.
The agency urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, disregard the fake announcement, and always verify information directly from official NAFDAC platforms before taking any action.
