Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has on behalf of the people and the government of the state, commended President Buhari for refunding the sum of N78.9 billion to the state government, over works carried out on federal roads in the state.
Governor Wike, who made this known in an advertorial published yesterday, said President Muhammadu Buhari with the gesture has shown that he is indeed, President for every State of the Federation and all Nigerians.
Wike who appealed for a state visit by the Commander-In-Chief, equally commended the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and other members of the Federal Executive Council, for the support they provided.
The Governor assured the President that, the State Government is willing and ever ready to cooperate and partner with the Federal Government to advance the developmental aspirations of the state in particular, and the nation in general.
The advertorial comes as a surprise to many stakeholders, as the governor is a known critic of President Buhari.
