The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Rivers State, Desmond Akawor has said that the generosity of Governor Wike Should not be Misconstrued.
Akawor who made this known in a statement yesterday, was reacting to criticisms trailing the Governor’s N500 million donation to Sokoto state.
He said, the Governor extended the hand of brotherhood to the people and government of Sokoto State, because the Federal Government will not come to their aid, since it is an opposition state.
He also said it is on record that former Governor of Bauchi state, Adamu Mua’zu gave the sum of N250million in 2015 as support to the Rivers State Government when Mile One market got burnt.
He noted that Gov. Wike has proved that he is a nationalist, a nation builder and a detrabilized leader.
Let him also extend that help to River State, because, there are many places that need his attention urgently….
