Mr Orukwo – the father of late Diobu Vigilante member, Uche Orukwo who was shot dead at Obidianso Waterfront in Diobu, Port Harcourt has debunked claims that his son was killed by suspected cultists.
Mr Orukwo in a chat with journalists Today alleged that his son was killed by his colleagues who were envious of him.
According to him, the deceased was recently promoted by their commander and his colleagues never liked the development.
He revealed that the money and cellphone his son had were still intact after he was killed, adding that they would have been carted away if he was attacked by cultists.
He called on the state commissioner of Police to invite his colleagues for questioning and ensure his killers are brought to book.
Meanwhile, the Police says it is investigating the incident.
