The Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has vowed to embark on projects that will be beneficial to Rivers people.
Fubara, in a statement on Thursday said his administration will not carryout white elephant projects that cannot be commissioned.
He said people oriented projects that will have direct bearing on the people would be embarked upon by his administration.
The governor also declared Rivers state as one of the most peaceful states and encouraged investors to visit and invest in the state.
He also maintained that Rivers is a christian state and owes nobody any apologies.
This was in reaction to calls by Asari Dokubo for the governor to retract his earlier statement of declaring Rivers a christian state.
