The National Center for Disease Control NCDC, has said that mosquito control helps reduce the risk of yellow fever infection.

The Commission made this known in a tweet on its official Twitter handle, on Wednesday.

The disease which was recently  detected early last month is responsible for many deaths across some states in the country.

The World Health Organization, had reported that about 530 suspected cases, including 172 deaths, have so far been reported in the country.

The commission urged Nigerians to ensure they: Get rid of stagnant water; keep their environments clean, keep containers covered properly and also wear protective clothing to prevent mosquito bites.
