The Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to exonerate their martys, Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others of the allegations levelled against them by the then military government which led to their execution.
This according to them was due to the fact that the execution has been adjudged to be illegal by the United Nations Special Rapporteur.
The group made this known in a press briefing to mark the 25th memorial of the Human Rights Activist and eight others executed by the Sani Abacha led military regime.
They equally called on the Federal Government to stop the ongoing construction of a federal prison and cemetery in Ogoni land, as they have it on good authority that the prison was to detain Ogonis who seek justice for their heroes.
MOSOP maintained that their hero, Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight others were illegally murdered for peacefully confronting the government against marginalization of the region amongst others.
