The All Progressives Congress, has said that more governors from the People’s Democratic party would join them before December.
National Caretaker Secretary of the Party, John Akpanudoedehe disclosed this during a live TV interview on Wednesday.
When asked if the party was wooing former President Goodluck Jonathan, to join its fold, John said he does not want to speculate.
Though he stated that the party would welcome him, if he decides to join, as everyone is allowed to join the APC.
“Everyone is allowed to join the APC, we welcome everyone who wants to join. We are getting stronger in terms of our progressive agenda. I’m hearing that for the first time, if he comes, we will welcome him, that will be great news,” he said.
There were speculations that the former president was set to defect to the ruling party. Claims he had since denied.
