Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Enefaa Georgewill says money rituals and internet fraud would stop if parents, pastors, imams and the society stop prioritizing money over character.
Enefaa, disclosed this in a post on Facebook while reacting to calls by the House of Representatives, for the Federal Government to declare emergency on money rituals.
According to him, money has been prioritized that young people want to make it at all cost, and that no amount of prayers can stop the evil act.
“Money Rituals/Yahoo Plus, Will Only End When Pastors, Imams, Parents & Society Stop Prioritizing Money Over Character. No Amount Of Prayer Will Stop It,” he said.
You would recall that the Green chamber, had asked the Federal Government to declare national emergency on the act.
It also asked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba Alkali, to take urgent steps to increase surveillance and intelligence gathering with a view to arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators.
