The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has threatened to shutdown the nation for one month if the minimum wage is removed from the Exclusive to Concurrent list in the Constitution by Nigerian lawmakers.
NLC President Joe Ajaero disclosed this during an event in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
According to him, if the National Assembly members proceed with the move to remove the minimum wage from the Exclusive to allow each state governor determine the minimum wage, the union would mobilize and shut down Nigeria’s economy for a month.
