NigrInfo has retracted a story it aired few days ago that Council chairmen in Rivers State had vowed to take legal action against the state governor over the approved minimum wage and promotion of workers as approved by Gov. Sim Fubara.
The media platform said upon further investigation, they have found out that the report was inaccurate and unsubstantiated.
“As a professional media house committed to ethical broadcasting, we hereby offer a retraction on a news story aired on February 13, 2024 concerning the 23 Local Government Chairmen in Rivers State.
“It was reported that the Council Chairmen had vowed not to pay the approved minimum wage and promotion of Local Government workers as approved by the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. It was stated they intended taking legal action to stop the Governor.
“Upon further investigation, we have found that the report was inaccurate and unsubstantiated. We deeply regret any confusion or misinformation caused by our earlier report.
