OKRIKA, Nigeria – A military operation on Monday, March 24, 2025, led to the destruction of a fuel-laden boat in the Okujagu Community waterways of Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State.
According to sources who spoke with Kristina Reports, military personnel opened fire on boats near a site where individuals were allegedly engaged in illegal diesel production. Reports indicate that an aerial patrol spotted the vessel before it was set ablaze.
Eyewitnesses clarified that the destroyed boat was carrying fuel, not diesel. A resident of Okujagu Community also confirmed that the incident did not impact the area, stating that there are no illegal bunkering operations within the community.
