Traders at the popular Mile 3 market in Port Harcourt have pleaded with the Rivers State Government to come to their aid by providing them with soft loans. This is because they have lost millions of Naira due to the closure of markets for over five months.
Some of the traders who made this known to journalists yesterday, said the goods they left in their shops have all expired. They said it will be difficult for them to cope if nothing is done to assist them.
The traders who commended Governor Nyesom Wike for reopening the markets, equally pleaded with him to direct the leadership of the market to wave all forms of levies and taxes for them.
