Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has challenged the immediate past minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi to mention one thing he attracted to the state while in office.
Speaking, during a State Executive Meeting few days ago, the governor said the former minister did not attract a single project to the state.
He stated that when he served in the Federal Executive Council, he attracted so many projects to the state, adding that Amaechi cannot mention one thing he brought.
He also said Amaechi’s next move now is to bring somebody as Governor of the State, adding that it will not work.
“What will the former minister (Amaechi) tell them (Rivers voters) that he brought? I was a minister; as I sit here, I can count what I brought as minister of state to Rivers. So, you were the main minister, of the lucrative ministry; what did you bring to Rivers? Not one thing, not one,” he said.
“Now they removed you. You now want to come and bring somebody as governor. It will not happen. Rivers’ people will not take it. We won’t agree. God has been on our side and I know God will continue to be on our side,” he added.
