Rivers governorship hopeful, Sen. Magnus Abe has reacted to the decision reached by some governorship candidates under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, in Rivers State.
Candidates from the Riverine extraction, met in Port Harcourt, few days ago and unanimously agreed to support whoever clinches the party’s ticket, noting that a Riverine person should emerge Governor of the state in 2023.
However, Abe during a meeting with party faithfuls in Gokana over the weekend, said the plot to make a riverine person flagbearer of the party will not work.
The former senator, said he will only support whoever picks the party’s ticket if the primary is free, fair and credible.
“I heard some APC aspirants gathered somewhere that they are signing a pact, they are talking about Riverine Governor, did you people see me there? It will not work,” he said.
