Popular on-air personality, DJ Smart Don, has cautioned members of the public against purchasing land in Rivers State, citing a high level of fraud in the real estate sector.
In a statement, the media personality advised prospective buyers to temporarily suspend all forms of land acquisition, particularly those marketed as real estate opportunities, due to recent developments in the state.
“With the recent news and happenings in Rivers State, I strongly advise everyone—for your own good—to suspend any form of land purchase for now, especially anything tagged ‘Real Estate,’” he said.
DJ Smart Don clarified that his warning was not intended to discredit or target any real estate brand, but was borne out of concern over what he described as an alarming rise in fraudulent activities.
“This isn’t about de-marketing or targeting any brand. I’m simply tired and deeply concerned about the alarming level of fraud in the system,” he added.
He urged residents and investors to remain cautious and vigilant, stressing that their hard-earned money deserves adequate protection.
