The Leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has absolved Governor Wike of any blame for the alleged killings by the military in Oyigbo LGA.
Chief Ralph in a statement yesterday said Wike is innocent of the crime. This according to him is because the Governor lacks the power to order the military.
“Nyesom Wike is not killing any Igbo man. It is not an Igbo thing. Nyesom Wike has no capacity to command the Army to kill anybody in Rivers State. It is only the Commander in Chief that can do that…” he said
He said the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is to blame for the crises that rocked the area.
He said Kanu’s directive to his members to burn down Police stations and government properties led to the chaos.
He furthermore said the invasion of the area by the military was in retaliation for its officers killed and their riffles carted away, during the #EndSARS protest in the area.
