Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has hinted that so many graduates in the country can hardly read or write correctly.
Adamu,who disclosed this during the official commissioning of projects in one of the higher institutions in Yola, Adamawa State noted that the situation is worrisome.
The minister who decried continuous fall in the standard of education in the country, said some graduates can hardly make a full sentence without multiple mistakes.
“Some graduates of tertiary institutions across the country cannot read or write applications,” said the minister who was represented by the Director of Tertiary Education in the Federal Ministry of Education, Hajia Rakiya Gambo Iliyasu,’ he said
He said that all hands must be on deck if the situation is to be reversed.
