Report reaching us has it that a passenger bus was almost hijacked by criminals this afternoon at UTC junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
An eyewitness said a male passenger saved the day by shouting at the criminals who immediately rushed into their vehicle and drove off.
He said the incident caused panic in the area as residents and passengers scampered for safety.
The eyewitness complained of incessant robbery incidents in the area lately.
He called on the Rivers State Police Command to station officers at the junction to ensure protection of lives and properties.
