Justice Silverline Iragonima at a state high court sitting in Port Harcourt has sentenced one Telema Amaso to death by hanging for hacking his boss’ wife, Helen Ibiba to death in 2013.
Amaso who was a house help to the deceased and her husband, murdered Helen in cold blood at her residence in Woji axis of the state, while her husband was away.
His accomplice one, Ndubuisi Chukwurmeka was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for assisting him in stealing the properties of the deceased.
The family members of the late Ibiba expressed satisfaction over the ruling, while commending the judge for the bold step.
