Eromosele Mahmud the 47-year-old man from Etsako West in Edo state, accused of impregnating his 16 year old daughter in Rivers state has said that the pregnancy should not be aborted.
Mahmud who made this known to journalists yesterday while he was paraded by the Rivers State Police Command, said he does not support abortion and fears that something might happen to his daughter inthe process of aborting the baby.
The suspect who confessed to the crime said he cannot explain why he was sleeping with his daughter, noting that it was a spiritual problem.
Mahmud said he is ready and deserves any punishment melted out to him. “Even if it means spending years in prison, I am ready, I am happy now that I am free of this thing,” he declared.
