A middle-aged man identified as Chinedu Peter from Ebonyi State, has allegedly committed suicide by drinking a poisonous substance owing to hardship.
The sad event which occurred yesterday at 35 Wokoma Street, at the Mile 3 axis of Port Harcourt, has thrown family members and neighbours of the deceased into mourning.
The wife of the deceased in a chat with journalists said they came back from church and met the lifeless body of her husband with a written note asking them to forgive him.
She said the husband had been complaining of frustration and hardship in his business.
