The Police says it has arrested one Prince Reuben for allegedly conniving with three other persons to rape and kill a mother of four, Joy Saturday at Olakwo in Etche local government area of Rivers State.
Police Spokesperson, Frank Mba disclosed this while parading the suspect in Abuja on Thursday.
He said the suspect had sold a piece of land to the deceased for the sum of 250,000. Days later, Reuben called the deceased and informed her of another land up for sale.
During the inspection of the land, Reuben in company of three other men identified as Nwaba, Chinedu and Promise who are still at large, kidnapped and raped the lady, before shooting her to death.
Reuben in a chat with Journalists, confessed to the crime. He said after raping the deceased, they killed her and poured acid on her body, before throwing her body into the forest.
Meanwhile the Police has appealed to residents of the area to assist them with useful information that would lead to the arrest of the other suspects.
