A man simply identified as Chibueze Ojiriome has reportedly killed his friend, identified as Aleruchi Awuzuruike with machete for allegedly stealing his goat.
The incident happened today, at Ubima Community in Ikwerree Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The suspect, according to reports has been handed over to the Ubima Police Division, after he was arrested by members of a local vigilante group in the area, Known as OSPAC.
According to sources, the deceased had gone to the house of the suspect, and was accused of stealing a goat. After much argument, Mr. Chibueze brought out a machete and allegedly killed him.
Stakeholders have called on the Police, to ensure proper investigation of the incident, so as to bring the perpetrator to book.
