A Port Harcourt resident has accused some officers of the Rivers State Command of extorting the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand Naira from him, after accusing him of being an internet fraudster.

The victim, in a chat with journalists said the incident happened at the Mgbuoba axis of Port Harcourt on Thursday.

He said he was in a taxi when the officers stopped him and asked the driver of the vehicle to go.

He said after pleading with the officers to let him go that he is not a fraudster, they handcuffed him and threatened to hand hand him over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, if he does not pay the sum of one million naira.
