Liverpool and Portugal international footballer Diogo José Teixeira da Silva, widely known as Diogo Jota, has died at the age of 28.

The news, confirmed by Spanish sports outlet MARCA on Thursday, revealed that Jota passed away at the scene of a recent accident. His sudden death has shocked the global football community, occurring shortly after what was considered a high point in his personal and professional life.

Born on December 4, 1996, in Porto, Portugal, Jota rose steadily through the ranks of European football, earning acclaim for his dynamic playing style and attacking versatility. His contributions on the field made him a respected figure among fans and peers alike.
