The Licenses Of AIT, Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation, RayPower FM, Silverbird FM amongst others have been revoked by the National Broadcasting Commission .
General Balarabe Shehu, Director General of the commission disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
According to him, licenses of the media houses were revoked over failure to renew them, after giving them over 2 months to do so.
He disclosed that its state offices will liaise with security agencies to ensure the shutdown of the affected media houses within the next 24 hours.
The Media houses are yet to react to the development.
