The Labour Party in Rivers State says there is nothing wrong if the state governor, Sim Fubara appoints caretaker committee chairmen in the 23 local councils.
Spokesperson of the party, Gogo Wellington disclosed this in a statement Today.
According to him, the law gives the governor the power to appoint caretaker committee chairmen.
He called on the governor to reconstitute the leadership of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, as they doubt the ability of the current leadership to conduct a credible election.
