The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, has unveiled voters register for the OCt. 5th Local Government Elections.
Justice, Adolphus Enebeli will addressing electorates at Rumudara in Obio/Akpor LGA, today, said the commission received the register before the court order restraining INEC from releasing it.
He stated that they will work with security agencies to ensure a violent free poll.
Meanwhile, the NUJ in Rivers State says it is concerned that one week to the poll, journalists are yet to be accredited to cover the exercise.
Chairman of the union, Stanley Job Stanley highlighted the critical role of the media during elections, and called on journalists to protect themselves during and after the elections.
