The Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Michael Odey, has urged ad hoc staff who participated in the recently concluded local government elections to exercise patience over delays in their payments.
In a statement on Monday, Odey explained that the commission is currently reconciling the accounts of workers involved in the exercise. He assured that all eligible staff would receive their payments promptly once the process is completed, emphasizing that staff who participated in the election will be duly compensated once all issues are sorted out.
