Some Members of the All People’s Party in Rivers State, which includes, Hart Badom, Destiny Omereji, and four others have dragged the party to a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, seeking the removal of its Chairman, Sunny Wokekoro.
They want the court to replace Wokekoro with one Mr. Badom as the legitimate State Chairman of APP.
Meanwhile, the court has granted an ex parte order to serve the Rivers State chairman of the Action People’s Party, APP, Sunny Wokekoro, the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, and the 23 chairmanship candidates of APP in the upcoming Saturday election, through substituted means.
The plaintiffs are also challenging the legitimacy of the 23 chairmanship candidates, questioning when they became members of the party.
