Some Adhoc Staff who participated in the Oct 5th Local Government Elections in Rivers State have threatened to carryout a protest over non payment of their allowance more than one month after the elections.
The staff in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt Today, said they have been delaying the protest to allow Gov. Fubara intervene in the matter.
They also said the fear of miscreants hijacking the protest to cause chaos in the State has been preventing them from going ahead with the protest.
The workers revealed that they have visited the RSIEC office on numerous occasions without response on the cause of the delay, noting that they would have no other option than to carryout a protest in no time to force the commission to respond.
Recall that RSIEC had assured all those who participated in the election of receiving their allowances.
