The Nigerian Army has said that it will not make public the names of its officers sent to disperse protesters at the Lekki tollgate to on October 20, 2020, during the #EndSARS protests.
Spokesperson of the 81 division, Osoba Olaniyi made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday.
“It is against operational security. We don’t give that. It is against the policy of operational security. There is no problem here. The picture some people paint, as if we are fighting with the state government, is wrong,” he said.
He had earlier said that officers of the 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos never at any time opened fire on protesters at the Lekki toll gate.
