Former federal lawmaker and chieftain of the PDP in Rivers State, Lee Maeba has reacted to the revocation of Certificate of Occupancy of land allocated to him by the Rivers State Government.

Maeba, who was an ally to Gov. Wike in a statement said it was surprising that the governor could grant a certificate of occupancy and withdraw it six months later.

“It is surprising that a governor will grant a certificate of occupancy and withdraw it six months later,” he said.

He stated that the land was allocated to him with a Certificate of Occupancy duly signed by Governor Wike himself.

Maeba is believed to be having a running battle with the state governor over his support for Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

The governor had in a statement said he will use everything at his disposal to fight and finish perceived enemies of the state.
