The Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Obinna Anyanwu has been accused of sending thugs to beat up the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon Cynthia Nwala after plenary, today.
A source said Hon. Cynthia was beaten up and striped naked and that her car was vandalized.
According to him, “The Infamous LGA Chairman of Etche hon. Obinna Anyanwu sent his CSO and other thugs to assault,kill, striped naked,beat up and vandalize the car of Mrs Stanley Nwala and take away her properties.
“She was brutally assaulted by over 25 thugs at gun point inside the council premises,” he said.
The source also revealed that Hon Nwala in a statement after the incident said, “Before now I survived a kidnap and assassination attempt by the same pepetrators.
“But be it known to them that we are ever resolute and determined to fight the common enemy of Etche land.These high-handedness will not deter us from fighting for the future of our people.As we rely on posterity to feed us with the ever new wine of fulfillment.
“They should kill everybody but they also must be told that at all times there will always be a strong voice crying even from the wilderness. Therefore,all these wouldn’t make any difference but rather make us stronger and ever ready to fight the monster of our common good who have held our people hostage for about 3 and half years now.
“But it should also be noted that no one has the Monopoly of violence but because we are decent and not in love with blood letting, we have decided to stay calm in the face of wicked provocation and anger.
“We stand with Etche development and progress.And I will never stop come what may.We are not discouraged as one has to pay huge sacrifice to free our people and bring the needed governance.
Efforts to reach the council boss proved abortive.
