A court in Lagos is set to hear a case filed by a Nigerian lawyer requesting the removal of the Arabic Inscription on the Nigerian currency (Naira).
Malcolm Omirhobo also wants the Army to remove same Arabic Inscription from its military logo because it paints the country as an Islamic state which it is not.
CBN in response has, however, said that inscriptions are not Islamic.
Nigeria’s official language is English.
