Rivers state has recorded 5 confirmed cases of Lassa Fever out of 49 suspected cases.
According to the state Ministry of Health, 2 cases were discovered after the victims had died.
It said three victims had been treated and discharged and that 44 persons have been confirmed negative with 35 persons under surveillance.
