Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has maintained that he remains the rightful leader of the assembly, citing constitutional provisions.
Obasa made the statement on Saturday during a reception held in his honor at Ikeja GRA. The event was attended by his supporters from Agege, Alimosho, and Kosofe local government areas.
In his remarks, Obasa challenged the validity of the removal process, arguing that it failed to adhere to constitutional guidelines. He added that while he is willing to step aside, any decision to remove him must comply with legal procedures.
As you may know, Obasa was recently removed from office by members of the assembly over allegations of gross misconduct and financial impropriety.
