The Chairman of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Hilda Dokubo, has declared that the party is prepared for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for August 9.
In a statement, Dokubo affirmed the party’s commitment to participating in the polls, emphasizing that if the elections contribute to peace in the state, the Labour Party will fully engage in the process.
She also urged political stakeholders to set aside their differences and prioritize peace in Rivers State. Additionally, Dokubo dismissed claims that Governor Siminalayi Fubara had disregarded President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the ongoing political crisis in the state.
