Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization, Enefaa Georgewill has urged the state Taskforce on illegal oil bunkering to stop burning oil products as it is causing soot.
Georgewill, in a statement today, said the government should device better means of disposing the products other than burning them.
He said burning the products is causing soot and not reducing it.
“#StopTheSootThe Local Government Areas Task Force On Illegal Bunkery (Kpofire) Should Stop Burning And Throwing Into The Rivers Seized Illegally Refined Products,” he said.
“The Above Action Is Contributing To The Soot And Not Reducing It. We Can Do Better!,” he added.
