Ace Comedian, KObaba Jornsen is set to begin a new project tagged “Young and Enterprising” aimed at supporting creative minded youths financially to start or expand their business.
The celebrated comedian in a statement on Wednesday, said he has “carried this dream” in his heart for a long time and believes the time is right to make it a reality.
According to him, he is hopeful the gesture will add to his “give back efforts and human capacity development project”.
His statement reads,
We are set to launch a new project and the goal would be to support creative minded youths financially ranging from 500k or more Bi-monthly to start or expand their business.
I have carried this dream in my heart for a long time and I believe this is the right to birth this dream as a reality, hopefully it will add to our give back efforts and human capacity development projects.
Often times I reminisce on all I had to go through and still go through in a bid to build a brand, I Am haunted with the undoubtable knowledge that millions of youths share the same or worse experiences . I struggled so much to find finance, I took loans, lost money, and failed in several pursuits. Today, what people see is a happy glory that has a very sad story. The more I work and improve my income, I had the capital to dare to do more and achieve more. Financial Capital is not everything, but its a major key that can drive implementation and improvements.
Our first sets of beneficiaries will be 6 small business owners I promised to support with 200k, 150k and 100k at KObaba Youth Convention. We will further screen 10 Business Proposals already submitted to give 1 bright ideas 500k. I don’t mind streaming the interview sessions on facebook to enable you join the screening and have a say in the decision making process.
