Popular Nigerian comedian and show promoter, KO-Baba, has announced the theme for the 2026 edition of his highly anticipated annual comedy show, Mayor of Pitakwa. The event, widely regarded as the biggest indoor entertainment show in Port Harcourt, is set to return with an ambitious new concept titled “The Mayor and the 12 Kings.”
Speaking at a press briefing on Sunday in Port Harcourt, where one of the sponsors Sollong Web3 was officially unveiled, KO-Baba disclosed that preparations for the next edition had already begun to ensure another memorable experience for fans and partners.
“The Mayor of Pitakwa is a stand-up comedy show—80% of its content is pure comedy while the remaining 20% features brand marketing and creative segments for entertainers and partner companies,” he explained.
According to KO-Baba, he is still weighing the option of hosting the show for two days instead of the traditional single-day format, but insists the 2026 edition, which will be held on Easter Monday will surpass all previous ones.
“If you’ve attended any recent edition, you’ll see that we invest massively in branding and production. My colleagues often complain about how much I put into the show, but I’m not afraid to take big risks. That’s the ‘big factor.’ To build anything great, you must invest greatly,” he said.

Introducing the “12 Kings”
The 2026 edition will feature 12 top comedians, each representing a different Nigerian city. The show is expected to stream simultaneously across all 12 cities while the main event happens live in Port Harcourt.
“We want to bring the very best—like Edo Pikin from Edo, Gordons from Delta, Monica from Bayelsa, Pashun, and others. The show will be titled ‘The Mayor and the 12 Kings’ and will stream in those 12 cities in real time,” he announced.

Massive Publicity Drive and Ticket Plans
KO-Baba also unveiled a robust promotional plan, which includes mounting 200 billboards across Port Harcourt and surrounding areas. He further revealed that every month leading up to the event, a comedian and a sponsor will be introduced to the public.
Ticket pricing was also disclosed:
- Regular: ₦10,000
- VIP: ₦20,000
- Seat at the Table: ₦150,000
- Tables: ₦2 million, ₦5 million, and ₦10 million (based on brand partnership tiers)
Sollong Web3 Leads Sponsorship
Also present at the briefing was Solomon Esor, retired naval commander and CEO of Crypto Consulting, who announced that Sollong Web3 would serve as one of the sponsors. Esor, who attended the 2025 edition of the Mayor of Pitakwa at the EUI Centre, described the experience as “mind-blowing.”
“The crowd, the organisation, the energy—it blew my mind. I contacted my partners abroad, showed them video clips from the show, and they said they must be part of this, no matter the cost,” he revealed.
Esor also stated that Sollong Web3 plans to launch its supersonic Web3 phone through the Mayor of Pitakwa platform.
A Positive “Bad Influence”
Joining the praise, popular comedian Mudiaga described KO-Baba as a “bad influence, but in a positive way,” commending his work ethic and dedication.
“If KO-Baba’s brand is called Talkaholic, it should really be called Workaholic. The Mayor of Pitakwa is one of the biggest comedy shows in Nigeria. It’s fertile ground for any brand that wants to be seen,” Mudiaga said.
Event Highlight
The briefing concluded with the unveiling of the Web3 phone by KO-Baba and Solomon Esor, followed by an interactive Q&A session with journalists.
