Kingsley Ude has been confirmed by the Senate as a Minister of the Federal Republic following his screening on Thursday.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who previously served as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, received strong backing from lawmakers during the screening session. However, the exercise briefly turned heated when Senator Abdul Ningi asked for his view on the ongoing “Trump threat” and possible solutions. Some senators objected, insisting Ude had already proven his competence and should not face further questioning.

In response, Ude maintained that President Bola Tinubu was tackling the situation diplomatically, stressing that it was a matter rooted in diplomacy rather than law.
